Chuck Vinci, gold medal winner at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, clowning around with Dave Sheppard (silver medalist) and Isaac Berger (gold medal winner).

In Memory

Chuck Vinci passed away on June 13, 2018, at the age of 85. The lifting platforms fell silent for a moment that day. Tributes poured in from Olympians, coaches, and fans across the globe. They remembered not just the medals, but the fire in his eyes, the precision of his form, and the courage it took for a young man of humble means to stand among giants—and beat them.
